We had a very late check-in - 11pm - reception manager was very friendly and helpful. Stay was very short, requested late check-out which was not a problem. Room was very comfy, bed was great and made for a very restful sleep. Didn't have room service, or attend breakfast, so rating is for room only. The windows open which is great for getting fresh air into the room. I would definitely book again for a one night stay. If I was going to stay longer, I would have to make sure parking was available and booked ahead as, honestly, parking in central Wellington is a nightmare with one-way streets and limited street parking.

I’ve enjoyed my stays at Atura whenever I’ve had embassy appointments. The location is perfect—close to embassies, parliament, a large New World, and nice restaurants &bars. The hotel’s coffee is excellent, and while even tho the rooms are small, they’re very clean, quiet, and budget-friendly. I had peaceful and restful sleeps. The staff were lovely, especially the young lady who checked me in and out. She had great vibes and offered me a complimentary late checkout due to my flight schedule. Though I’m moving abroad soon, I’d happily stay here again if I return for work or to visit friends later : )

Location handy to Queen Margaret College, within walking distance, where I was involved with a Choral Event on Friday night and all day Saturday and Saturday night enabling me to return to the Atura at about 5.30pm have a freshen up and walk back by 7pm for the evening concert at 7.30pm. Assistance from the counter staff on Friday afternoon at check-in, with putting a map with directions on my cellphone. I am 87 years of age and this technology is a bit beyond me. Atura also handy to New World where I was able to purchase take away lunch and tea items. I did not eat in the Atura dining room.

The staff were excellent and on-site restaurant, Frankie's was very good. The railway and bus stations were within walking distance and the hotel was in the historic part of the city which we liked. We could see the Beehive and some of the other government buildings from our room. It was a bit of a walk to the waterfront, Cuba Street and the main shopping area, which we didn't mind but it could be an issue for some people, particularly as the route back to the hotel involves walking up a few hills. However, the hotel suited our needs very well and we would be happy to stay there again.

Arrived on a very windy day. Easy to find, Easy to walk too! able to check in early! BONUS ! Able to sit in Bar area and chat, BONUS! Order food BONUS! Staff were attentive but did NOT INTRUDE - EXTRA BONUS! Beds were very comfortable BONUS! Didn't do Breakfast as we had an earlyish plane to catch. Most impressed with the staff (made us welcome, were attentive, but didn't invade our space) and we enjoyed the time to chat. Will endeavour to book here again every time I return to Wellington.
